Meet Toad! Toad is a handsome 1.5-year-old Catahoula mix weighing about 45 pounds.

Toad is a smart, active guy who would love to find someone who understands working breeds and can give both his brain and his body something to do. He already knows how to sit, listens well, is very treat motivated, and learns incredibly quickly!

He also loves to run and play with toys, and honestly... this guy could use a job! Whether that means training, adventures, games, or simply having a more active lifestyle with his person, Toad has a lot of potential.

When you first meet Toad in his kennel, he may seem a little overexcited. Shelter life has a LOT going on, and sitting behind a kennel door all day isn't exactly his idea of fun. Once you get him out and spend some time with him, he gets the chance to show you just how smart and responsive he really is.

Toad was sadly dumped on the side of the road, but we’re hoping that rough start is simply the beginning of a much better life. He just needs someone willing to give this smart boy a chance.

Toad is located in Gainesville, TX, but we offer transportation services all over the U.S. Out-of-state adopters are welcome to schedule a FaceTime meet-and-greet with him before adoption.
