Don’t let those puppy dog eyes fool you—Harlan is one of the happiest boys around! This two-year-old Cane Corso isn’t just a handsome face; he’s also an absolute sweetheart. His little nub tail is almost always wagging, and his favorite things in life are ear rubs, head scratches, and, of course, TOYS.
Harlan currently weighs just 68 pounds and still has quite a bit of weight to gain. He’s a big boy with an even bigger heart, and he absolutely loves affection. If you aren’t paying attention to him, he’ll politely sit at your feet and stare up at you, patiently waiting for his next round of ear rubs and head scratches. He’s loved everyone he’s met so far and has the sweetest, goofiest personality.
But the true love of Harlan’s life? Toys. Big ones, little ones, squeaky ones, crunchy ones, and even things that aren’t toys at all (we’re still working on that last part). He almost always has something in his mouth, proudly trotting around and tossing it into the air like he’s showing off his latest treasure. He’s a pro at entertaining himself, and if there aren’t any toys around, he’ll happily improvise. A stick, a leaf, or even a pillow will do! Thankfully, Harlan listens incredibly well and understands “no” when he picks up something that isn’t his. Watching this squishy-faced boy play and enjoy the simple things in life is guaranteed to make you smile.
Harlan is a smart boy, too! He’s treat-motivated and already knows sit, shake, and down. He’s eager to please, especially when there’s a tasty snack involved. He does well in his crate, has been doing great with going potty outside, and is an excellent car passenger. He hops right in and settles down for the ride like a perfect gentleman.
Harlan is currently fostered with other dogs and cats. He gave the cats a quick sniff on his first day and has been unbothered by them ever since. He also enjoys playing with other dogs! His play style is a little goofy, with plenty of chasing and enthusiastic pawing. His long legs don’t always seem to know exactly where they’re going, and he somehow manages to cover a lot of ground while looking like he’s moving in slow motion. He might trip over himself every now and then, but his adorable clumsiness is all part of his charm!
Harlan is neutered, microchipped, heartworm treated, and up to date on vaccines. He may still have some weight to gain, but he’s already got the sweet personality, squishy face, and heart of gold that make him so easy to love.
If you’re looking for a big, goofy boy who will make you laugh, keep you company, and politely remind you when it’s time for more ear rubs, Harlan might just be your guy. Just be prepared to share your home with a dog who believes every object is a potential toy and every person is a potential source of head scratches!
