Sham - Canaan Dog and Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Franklin Township, New Jersey

Meet Sham — a gentle girl looking for someone to show her the world is safe. This beautiful girl was rescued off of the streets of Jordan along with her siblings and mom. Sibling was adopted this year, and now we are looking for another family to add Sham to their family.

Sham is the kind of dog whose affection feels extra special because you have to earn it.

This sweet, sensitive girl can be shy and unsure around new people at first, but give her patience, consistency, and a little time and you’ll discover a dog who loves cuddles, kisses, and being close to the people she trusts. And if food is involved? You may find the way to her heart even faster.

Sham is smart and receptive to training. She already knows some basic commands, and her leash skills are improving as she continues to work at her own pace. This is also help her bond to yo, and then I bet she could be a good running or hiking buddy.

She is looking for an experienced, patient adopter who understands that shy dogs don’t always fall in love on the first meeting. Sham needs someone willing to give her the space to settle in and build trust without rushing her. For the right person, watching that relationship grow could be incredibly rewarding.

Sham is dog-friendly and may enjoy having a canine companion. Her experience with cats and children is currently unknown.
