Bruce - Boxer and Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Humble, Texas

Meet Bruce!
Bruce’s story started with a family who was heading out for a fishing trip in the North-east area of Houston. As they were putting their boat into the water, two young puppies came running out of the woods. They were both incredibly thin and hungry, covered in wounds and clearly in need of someone to step in and save them.
Thankfully this amazing family brought them into the safety of their home and our rescue was contacted. Both boys are in their foster home (in North-east Houston) which they share with other dogs and children and are happy, healthy and now ready for the next chapter of their lives....

Bruce is a sweet, goofy, cuddly boy, with a cute little stocky body and short legs. He has come such a long way and is now neutered, crate trained, almost fully potty trained, knows his name and some basic commands, and walks well on a leash.
Bruce loves kids and other dogs, enjoys playing outside with the other dogs, and especially loves being close to his people. His favorite spot is curled up right beside you, whether you're sitting on the couch or relaxing in bed. His foster mom states that he loves to be "babied."
He has been around a cat but is still a little unsure about them. Bruce is a really good boy who aims to please and would make a wonderful addition to a loving family. He's ready to find his forever home!

- DOB around 3/1/26
- Currently weighs about 30 lbs (should be medium size dog when fully grown)
- Up to date on vaccinations
- Neutered

- Cat "curious" - foster has seen no aggression towards indoor cat
- Very food motivated
- Walks well on a leash - even "off-leash" stays close to foster
- Rides well in a car

**Bruce’s Forever Home**

Bruce is an active boy, extremely smart and will thrive in a home that will provide him with both mental and physical activity on a daily basis. His foster mom states that he is a little shy and reserved when experiencing new people and situations, but quickly warms up once he realizes he is in no harm. Bruce is looking for a family who understands that adopting a puppy is a long-term commitment. He will grow, his personality will continue to develop, and he will need continued training, exercise, patience, veterinary care, and plenty of love throughout his entire life.
