Boxer and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption in Georgetown, Texas

HUMPHREY

Boxer, Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Georgetown, Texas
May 12th
male, medium, senior

DESCRIPTION

Humphrey is estimated to be about 8 years old, and he's around 55 pounds. He was found as a stray in Copperas Cove, Texas, and was in danger of being killed because of his appearance as a possible pit bull mix, because the city doesn't allow such dogs to be adopted out. We rescued Humphrey on May 4, and in his short time in foster he has been wonderful. No accidents, gets along with other dogs, loves the people in his family, especially the teenaged girl, and meets new people easily.

He's pretty mellow and likes to stay inside snoozing more than being outside running around. His veterinary workup showed him to be in good health, though he has a torn ligament that causes him to limp when he's tired, and he needs to gain some more weight and his skin is still recovering from his time as a stray.

Humphrey is a sweet old man who will make a great addition to a family.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
