My name is Mr. Snorts. I am 11 years old and weigh 22 pounds. I need a new home because my mom was put in a nursing home. I am being fostered in McCook, NE.
I am such a lover! I have been the bestest boy for my foster mom and with his Bostie foster-sister. I adapt easily, and only want to please. I am a very agile senior fellow who loves being with the female in the house-a semi sort-of velcro shadow.
However, I am crate trained and go willingly, and don't bark unless:
I want in from a pottie break-
There are chickens-
I see you eating, but you're not sharing at all!
I do not know commands, but do know "No" and "Down". I sometimes listen to "Be quiet" .... I really try!
My left eye has a cataract, but I can see great out of the right.
I do snort....but not loud.
I love my braided rope toy, my blanket, and my person.
I hate eggs (allergic), and not crazy about my food, although I'm eating my senior foods better now, since mom adds a tiny sprinkle of cheese! Treats are my favorite- I love raw zucchini and carrots.
I love to be with you
I get along with cats, older children and adults...
I would rather not be alone
I need someone who loves a snuggly senior

All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.
MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.
MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
