Hi, my name is Merry. I am 11 yrs old and weigh 22 lbs. I need a new home as my family was no longer able to care for me. I am being fostered in Kansas City, MO.

I’m a very spunky old lady. I love to play ball and I'm really good at bringing it back to you. I love to explore the yard. I’ve mastered the doggie door so I can let myself in and out, if you have one at your place.

I’m great in the car. I love going everywhere you go. Need a buddy to run errands with? I’m your girl!

I get along with other dogs. I’m curious about cats, but I do not chase them. I love to cuddle and be close to people at all times. My foster dad works from home so I lay in a pillow next to his desk all day long. I really like men. Don’t get me wrong, I love everybody, but I tend to be drawn to the males. I have lots of love to give.

All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.

MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.

MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
