Ridiculously cute is the best way to describe Scrappy! This sweet girl is friendly, easygoing, and ready to find a family who understands that she deserves to be spoiled rotten.
Scrappy gets along with everyone and is just an all-around lovely companion. She's potty trained, quiet, and has basic training, making her a wonderful addition to a home looking for a sweet, well-rounded dog.
And if you're looking for a lap dog, Scrappy would like to formally submit her application. She loves curling up with her people, getting belly rubs, and being as cozy as possible. In fact, Scrappy fully expects her forever home to come equipped with dog beds, soft blankets, and plenty of opportunities to be pampered. And honestly? We think she deserves it.
Scrappy enjoys play time with toys and is comfortable going into a crate. She isn't quite sure what to make of leash walking yet, so that's one skill her adopter can continue working on with her. With patience and positive reinforcement, she'll get there!
Scrappy is currently working through some itchy skin, so her new family will need to continue supporting her skin health with an appropriate diet and good hygiene. She's worth the extra care, and we're confident her future family will be happy to help her feel her very best.

Scrappy is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 9/26/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start's veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
