When River landed in a rural municipal shelter, the staff immediately noticed his gentle soul, calm demeanor, and incredible intelligence. They knew he deserved a chance, so River was selected to spend 90 days in a state prison obedience program, where he trained every day with his handler.
He graduated with flying colors.
Then he returned to the shelter...
...and waited.
And waited.
For reasons no one can explain, this amazing dog kept getting overlooked.
Fairy Dogmother Rescue couldn't let River's story end there.
