Meet Hope Eloise (Elle)
Some dogs survive.
Hope Eloise has fought.
Affectionately known as Elle by her foster family, this sweet little Great Pyrenees mix has spent the last two months proving that hope really can change everything.
Elle was found alone in a ditch at a rural oil well site.
She was covered in fleas and ticks. Flies were literally eating away at her tiny ears. She was so emaciated that she didn't even have the strength to stand on her own.
No puppy should ever begin life that way.
After arriving at Fairy Dogmother Rescue, Elle received exceptional medical care from Dr. Skube and the wonderful team at Crestwood Animal Hospital. Then she moved into a foster home where healing truly began.
Not just because she had food.
Not just because she finally had a soft bed.
But because she had a family.
Her foster siblings quietly took on the role of physical therapists, encouraging her to play, explore, and simply be a puppy.
As Elle grew stronger, we realized something else was going on.
Instead of walking straight, she would walk in tight circles, a common sign of a neurological injury. We believe she was likely hit by a car before she was abandoned.
But if you ask Elle...
None of that matters anymore.
Today, this little survivor can walk in a nearly straight line. She can run. She chases her foster siblings through the yard with pure joy, and her tail never seems to stop wagging.
Her beautiful coat has grown back after the fleas stole it away, and every day she discovers something new about the world around her.
Elle will likely always experience some learning delays because of her neurological injury. She needs an adopter with patience, compassion, and the understanding that she may learn at her own pace.
But where Elle isn't delayed is in loving people.
She is one of the snuggliest puppies you'll ever meet. Her hilarious facial expressions will keep you laughing, and her greatest wish in life is simply to belong to someone who loves her as much as she loves them.
Although she's a Great Pyrenees mix, we expect Elle to mature at around 50 pounds, making her the perfect medium-sized companion.
Some dogs are rescued.
Others remind us why rescue matters.
Hope Eloise is one of those dogs.
She's already beaten impossible odds.
Now she's just waiting for someone to give her the one thing she's wanted all along—a family of her very own.
Adoption Fee: $235
