Ollie is a seven-month-old puppy who follows you everywhere, always one step behind, until he decides you're worth approaching. Then, he quietly appears at your side as if he was always meant to be there.

OLLIE'S STORY
Ollie was rescued from a municipal shelter in South Korea at just five months old. He arrived in foster care bright, adaptable, and full of personality. Within two weeks, he learned to sit and shake. Ollie has a lot of love to give—on his own careful terms.
PEOPLE
Ollie is curious and affectionate but keeps a step back until he feels safe. He follows his people everywhere and observes everything with interest—he just needs a moment before he commits. The best approach is to move slowly, offer your hand below his chin (since hands from above make him flinch), and let him come to you. Once comfortable, Ollie is warm, playful, and actively seeks contact.
He responds the same way with women and men — no notable difference in comfort level with either.
Children: Ollie stays calm when children approach and allows gentle petting. However, he flinches at sudden movements or hands reaching from above. He is not suited to homes with toddlers or very young children who may grab or rush at him unpredictably.
OTHER DOGS
Ollie gets along well with other dogs and has excellent natural manners—he instinctively waits one step back rather than rushing or overwhelming new dogs. He currently lives with a Bichon in foster care and does well overall, though he sometimes tries to control smaller dogs, which his foster is addressing with training. With larger dogs, Ollie was initially cautious but warmed up quickly and played enthusiastically. Structured introductions and a household that reinforces calm behavior will help him succeed.
CATS & CHILDREN
Cats: When Ollie met a cat for the first time, he followed it curiously but kept his distance. After the cat hissed, Ollie startled and barked a few times. Eventually, both became mutually indifferent—there was no chasing or aggression. A careful introduction with space for the cat to retreat is recommended.

DAILY LIFE
Ollie is an active, curious puppy who keeps himself busy with toys and exploration. He has mild separation anxiety when first left alone — whines briefly at the door for about five minutes, then settles. He is not destructive when enrichment is provided: leaving wood sticks and a nosework mat resolves any chewing entirely. Puppy-proofing and enrichment before departures are recommended.
Barking: barks when other dogs in the home bark; will startle-bark in surprising situations. Otherwise quiet.
Potty: outdoor training in progress. Poop is mostly outdoor; pee is split between pads and outside. Ollie drinks a lot of water and urinates frequently, which slows the transition. With consistent outdoor access, he is expected to complete training naturally.
Car rides: rides well on a soft surface. Slight drool on longer trips but no vomiting. Managed a 1.5-hour ride without issue.
EXERCISE
Ollie needs approximately 90 minutes of daily exercise across three walks, plus regular off-leash time. He loves walks and has minimal leash pulling. After going potty, he sometimes bolts excitedly — keep the leash secure. On walks he pauses briefly when he sees other dogs, then moves on without reacting. He prefers grass for potty. Weekend dog park visits tire him out completely — he sleeps through the next day.
HEALTH
Currently healthy with no past medical history. Ollie is actively teething — baby teeth are still falling out, which is completely normal at this age. Occasional blood spots on chew toys during teething are normal—no known allergies. Currently eating a premium chicken-based puppy kibble. Monthly parasite prevention: NexGard Plus— schedule to be established with adopter at time of adoption.
IDEAL HOME
Ollie needs an active family who will take him on regular walks and give him off-leash time to burn his puppy energy. He does well with other dogs but benefits from a household that reinforces calm, mannerly behavior—especially around smaller dogs. He is not suited to homes with toddlers or very young children who may grab or move suddenly toward him.
Most importantly, he needs people who will respect his pace and let him come to them. His affection is real — it just takes a little time to arrive. And he is very much worth the wait.
FOSTER NOTE
Ollie has been with us for two weeks, and he has already figured out sit, shake, and how to charm everyone in the room on his own quiet terms. He is not the puppy who runs to you — he is the one who watches you carefully, decides you are good, and then shows up beside you like he was always planning to be there. He is smart, he is sweet, and he is going to make someone very happy.
