We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.
Willow is a 2 year-old, spayed, Lab mix, 65 lb girl being fostered in Houston Tx, and can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up!
Looking for a laid-back companion who’s happy to spend a quiet day lounging on the couch? Meet Willow! She has perfected the art of relaxing. She enjoys short walks, playing with her toys, and spending time with people once she gets comfortable with them.
Willow is a sweet girl who just needs a little time to come out of her shell. She can be shy around new people, but with patience and a little understanding, you’ll get to see more of her personality. Once she trusts you, she may even decide you’re worthy of some cuddles!
One of the great things about Willow is that she’s a pretty easygoing housemate. She’s housebroken, enjoys her toys, and can be trusted loose in the house while you’re away, so there’s no need for a crate. She doesn’t need a ton of exercise, making her a great match for someone who prefers short walks and relaxing at home.
Willow is still building confidence and learning to trust, so she’ll need a quiet home and someone willing to let her settle in at her own pace. She can be nervous around strangers, other dogs, and car rides, and she’ll need to be fed separately. She can also be frightened by children, so a home with older, dog-savvy kids (12+) or adults would be best. With continued patience, consistency, and respect for her space, Willow can work on becoming more comfortable in new situations.
If you appreciate a quieter lifestyle and have the patience to let a shy dog settle in on her own terms, Willow could be a wonderful match.
