Meet Remy, a handsome, affectionate sweetheart who’s ready to find the forever family he’s always deserved! This 4-year-old Rottweiler mix weighs around 70 pounds, though he looks a little smaller than you might expect. After being found as a stray in Cleveland, Texas, Remy was given a second chance by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan. He’s now safe in a foster home in Houston, Texas, and can be transported to an approved adopter.

Remy is happiest wherever his people are! Whether he’s joining you for walks, going for car rides, relaxing around the house, or snuggling up on the couch, this loyal boy loves being part of the action. He’s fully house-trained, has excellent indoor manners, and does well with free roam when left alone. His separation anxiety has also improved tremendously, and he’s become much more comfortable with his daily routine.

When it comes to other dogs, Remy enjoys canine companionship and has done best with female dogs and compatible, easygoing males. He would thrive in a home with just one well-matched dog. Remy needs a family who understands the importance of slow introductions, patience, and allowing him time to decompress in a new environment. Once he feels safe and has time to build trust, his goofy, loving personality truly shines!

Like any dog, Remy has a few little things he’s still working on. He can get excited at the start of walks and may pull a bit initially, but he settles down quickly. He also occasionally greets his favorite people with an enthusiastic little jump when he’s excited to see them. With continued guidance, consistency, and positive reinforcement, he’ll keep making progress.

Above all, Remy is looking for a home where he can feel secure, loved, and understood. He has already made so much progress and deserves a family willing to give him the time and patience he needs to settle in and flourish.
