Introducing Sasha the bichon!
She’s a little weird and complicated, but sweet once she bonds, though she seems to pick and choose her friends carefully. She’s 8 years old and was a matted mess left homeless when her owners were deported. She’s had zero issues with us, asks to be picked up and likes hanging out with little doggie friends and follows the pack. Fine for the vet, fine for grooming, we didn’t anticipate any issues, just a sweet easy lovable little girl. But in different environments can be scared, snappy about being leashed and prefers a fenced yard to go out into, show some separation anxiety, growl and bark at strangers coming in, and can have a bossy streak with some dogs. She might not like men, but doesn’t like all women either. It’s kind of all or nothing, she’s either an easy perfect angel if she loves you, or a freaked out protective panicked menace if she isn’t happy in a situation.
Sasha is about 12lbs, had some benign lumps removed and is in good shape and a “young” healthy senior. Definitely an adult home and she will have to meet you and your other dogs and decide if she likes you or not. She is the type that has to pick out her own home and isn’t going to listen to us assuring her how good an application looks on paper. She just needs us to be her secretary and schedule blind dates for her and she will decide if there is chemistry or not. We are going to be left apologizing for her if she decides to give you the cold shoulder (or the white teeth)
