We weren't sure if a veterinary clinic would be what finally unsettled Annie. She has been such an amazing girl through numerous changes in her life recently. Only if you knew her well was it apparent that she was a tad nervous going into a new clinic. She handled herself with reserve and decorum. Sitting calmly in the waiting room watching other dogs and a cat in a carrier go right by her. Then she followed easily into an exam room without any pullback. She met the techician and veterinarian, stood for an exam and took her vaccine all like the lady she is. The clinic staff were very impressed with her.
Annie has lived her life mostly interacting with people in a retirement residence. She notices other dogs on a walk but isn't interested enough to engage with them. A small woodland creature may get a raised tail but not an offer to chase.
She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys a morning and evening stroll around the golf course where her fosters reside. She is well potty trained, will ask nicely to go out on the raised deck to sunbath or commune with nature, and she rides well in the car, preferably laying in the back seat with the window down enough to catch a whiff of breeze.
Annie is smaller for a Bernedoodle and seems more likely to sway toward the Doodle side of the family. She has been allowed on the furniture in her previous home and will sit regally on her corner of the couch. She's been bathed and had her nails trimmed in her foster's care with limited objection. Grooming has been part of her standard care.
This lovely girl is so easy to have around. She really does need people in her life though. She will stay alone without mischief but you can hear her whine a little if you listen at the door.
Lovely Annie is really a find!
