Sally Sue was a pregnant stray brought in off the street just in time to have her beautiful babies in a warm, safe home. Several weeks later, it was noticed that Sally's tail was dragging behind her and she was in discomfort. An x-ray revealed that at some point in her life, she had sustained an injury to her lower spine, near her tail. Being pregnant and having the babies had most likely aggravated the area and caused her further trouble. Fortunately, her kittens were weaned and ready for adoption, so no longer required her "assistance", so Sally was placed into a new foster space where she could rest and recover. It doesn't appear Sally's tail will ever be perky and straight up, so she needs an adopter who doesn't mind brushing off the dust & litter from her regularly.
And what a LOVE this girl is!!! She is very quiet and rarely makes a sound when she meows. Most of her talking is in a whisper. She looks at you with such an adoring face and her long, fluffy foot fur is incredibly cute! She is not very happy to share her space with other kitties. They make her nervous, but she has learned to co-exist with a few others in her foster home. Sally should be prevented from jumping from very high places, but she's not much of a climber so that wouldn't be too difficult.
The adoption fee for Sally Sue is $175. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, blood tested, and treated for fleas/parasites. If you'd like to meet her, please fill out an application for cat adoption at www.savingpetsoneatatime.org.
