Max - Belgian Shepherd Malinois Dog for Adoption

Hi, I’m Max! I’m a handsome 4-year-old Belgian Malinois looking for a new home through no fault of my own. My previous owner’s landlord did not allow my breed, so now I’m searching for an experienced owner who will give me the structure, leadership, and commitment I need to thrive.

Although Malinois are known for being intense and always on the go, I’m actually a pretty chill and easy going guy. I have lovely leash manners, know my basic obedience, and genuinely enjoy spending time with my person. I’m also crate trained and fully housebroken, so I already have many of the skills needed to settle comfortably into a new home.

I love adventures and would be thrilled to share them with you! Whether we’re hiking a peaceful trail, walking through the city, exploring an outdoor festival, or heading out for a car ride, I’m happiest when I get to come along. I travel well, handle new environments comfortably, and can go just about anywhere with you. I’m even calm and cooperative during visits to the veterinarian!

I’m looking for an experienced owner who understands the importance of clear leadership, consistent expectations, and ongoing structure. With the right person guiding me, I’m a wonderful companion who is ready to become part of everyday life—not just a dog who stays home while you have all the fun.

I can live with cats, but my interactions with them will need to be closely supervised and carefully managed. A home without young children would be the best fit for me.
