Legacy (approximately 21 pounds) and her little sister Journey were transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in South Carolina. These ladies are SO SWEET, it's amazing they aren't made of sugar! The girls were lucky enough to spend time in a foster home down South, where they got along very well with the family's three other dogs (including another Beagle!) and their teenage daughter. Legacy is social, super friendly, and very easy to love. She is house trained and crate trained, although she was crated with Journey so we're not sure how happy she'd be to be crated alone. Journey & Legacy adore each other, so if you're a Beagle fan who'd love to take on a pair of Beagles, they'd be happy to stay together. But we know it's a lot to take on two dogs at once, so the girls can also be adopted separately. Please remember that despite their small size, Beagles are not typical small dogs - they can be very loud & active when they want to and are generally not suited to apartment living. If you've never had a Beagle before, please look into the breed (or talk to an Adoption Counselor) before adopting. Legacy is a wonderful & charming Beagle girl who is going to make someone very happy, especially if they love Beagles. Come down & meet her today!
If you'd like to meet Legacy and all her friends at the New Hampshire SPCA, please visit our Adoption Center during our open hours: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day except Wednesdays (closed). Plus, this summer, we will be open until 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays! Have questions? Call (603) 772-2921 ext. 110 or email info@nhspca.org today.
