Colin is just 2 years old... and already has a story of survival.

Found as a stray and placed on the euthanasia list, he was saved just moments before his life was cut short. And the wildest part? This boy is so well-mannered, so loving, and so connected to people — it’s clear he was once someone’s dog.

We’ll never know how he ended up there... but we do know he deserves a future that matches the dog he is.

His journey (so far):
In just the first 5 days after being rescued, Colin was with two fosters and two transporters before finally making it to Reno, NV. from Bakersfield, CA. Unfortunately, the resident dogs in that home weren’t ready for a new addition — through no fault of his own, Colin is now urgently looking for a new foster or adopter.

What Colin needs:

An active home that can match his energy
Space to run or regular exercise
A committed foster or adopter ready to give him stability
Slow, respectful introductions with other dogs (as always recommended)

These affectionate and gentle dogs make excellent companions for families and individuals alike, excelling in various activities such as lure coursing and obedience training. With their slender build and short coat, Whippets are low maintenance when it comes to grooming but require regular exercise to keep them healthy and happy.
