DESCRIPTION
Calypso - an adorable 2-month-old Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix who's settling into her new world one day at a time!
Calypso is still warming up to her foster sibling, Rebel, but she's making great progress - the two were already playing together this morning! Slow and steady, this girl is figuring out where she fits in, and she's clearly on the right track.
Crate training has been a bit of a mixed bag so far. Her first night went great, no problems at all. Night two was tougher - there was some whining that led to a 1 AM bed invitation. Totally normal for a pup adjusting to a brand new environment, and with patience and consistency, she'll get the hang of it.
Calypso stats, because you asked:
2 months old and already showing her sweet, adaptable side
Australian Shepherd x German Shepherd - the "double dose of smart" combo platter
Making new friends status: in progress, but off to a great start
Warming up to other dogs at her own pace
Currently working through some crate-training jitters
Currently accepting applications for patient pet parents and cozy bedtime routines
Fair warning: Calypso is going to want a family who understands that adjusting to a new home takes time - especially when it comes to the crate. Give her patience, consistency, and a little grace during this transition period, and you'll have a loyal, brilliant companion who settles in beautifully once she feels safe and secure.
If you're looking for a puppy who's still finding her footing but has so much love and loyalty to give, Calypso might just be your perfect match!
Ready to fall in love? Apply today - Calypso is waiting to meet her people! Warning: extreme cuteness (and a few 1 AM cuddle requests) ahead.
