DESCRIPTION
Meet Sunday!
Sunday is an Australian Shepherd mix who was one of the 35 dogs rescued from a property in Missouri. With so much change happening all at once, Sunday will need a patient and understanding family willing to give them the time they need to settle in and adjust to life in a home.
Sunday deserves the chance to learn that the world can be a kind and wonderful place! A family who can offer plenty of patience, gentle encouragement, and a safe environment to build confidence would be a great fit. Sometimes, the best things take time, and we hope Sunday gets the opportunity to discover just how special life with a loving family can be.
Could Sunday be the missing piece of your family? With a little love and understanding, Sunday is ready to start a new chapter and find a place to call home!
All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-dogs
ABOUT: AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD DOG BREED
The Australian Shepherd is a highly intelligent and energetic herding dog known for its loyalty and work ethic. Originating in the United States, despite its name, this breed is prized for its agility, trainability, and versatility in various dog sports and activities. Australian Shepherds have a distinctive medium length coat that comes in different colors, often with unique merle patterns. With proper training, socialization, and exercise, these dogs make excellent companions for active families and individuals seeking a devoted and playful four legged friend.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
