Silvermist - Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Brookings, South Dakota

Meet Silvermist! This 4-year-old, 14.8-pound merle Toy Aussie is a little fairy in disguise! Silvermist may need a little time to sprinkle her trust dust before showing off her personality. She's been known to live with another small dog and is slowly coming out of her shell, even greeting new people with some adorable happy prances! Shelter life can be a little overwhelming, so we're still getting to know her and discovering all the magic she has to offer. With a little patience, kindness, and room to spread her wings, Silvermist may just cast a spell on your heart!
Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!

Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $300+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
