Say Hello to Tofu!

Tofu came to us with her siblings, and it wasn’t long before we noticed something wasn’t quite right, she started walking in circles. Those circles turned out to be early signs of seizures. Thanks to an amazing neurologist and the right medication, we’ve been able to get Tofu’s seizures under control. As her brain continues to develop, there’s real hope that she may grow out of them entirely, but there’s also a chance she could experience them occasionally throughout her life. Either way, we’re committed to supporting her every step of the way, and we’re looking for a family ready to do the same.

Because make no mistake, underneath all of this, Tofu is still just a puppy. She has so much life to live and so much love to give, and she deserves the chance to live it fully, surrounded by people who understand her and love her exactly as she is.

Beyond her medical journey, Tofu is just an absolute sweetheart. She’s cuddly and affectionate, loves being close to her people, and lights up around other dogs! She is always ready for a good play session. She was previously fostered in a home with cats and did great, so she’s shown she can adapt well to a variety of household companions. She’s such a loving little pup!!!

Tofu doesn’t know she’s “special.” She doesn’t know her siblings found homes while she waited a little longer, or that some families hear the word “seizures” and turn away before they even meet her. All she knows is that she’s a puppy who wants to be loved and who deserves the chance to grow up in real arms, not a rescue rotation. Somewhere out there is a family with room in their heart for a dog who needs a little more patience and gives back so much more in return. Could that be you?
