DESCRIPTION
๐ BLU NEEDS A FOSTER OR ADOPTER! ๐
๐ Hillsborough County Animal Shelter โ Tampa, FL
*Notes from the shelter.*
I spent some time with Blu today, and this sweet boy absolutely stole my heart. ๐ฅน๐
Blu is around 4 years old and was recently neutered. He is incredibly sweet, gentle, laid-back, and submissive. During our walk, he was so easy on the leash โ he walked gently right beside me and never pulled.
Blu is a total belly-rub lover and happily rolled onto his back for some love. ๐ฅฐ When other dogs passed by, he was curious but didnโt bark or react. On our way back to his kennel, he even stopped to give another pit bull some kisses through the fence. ๐ฅน
We donโt know how Blu does in playgroup because he hasnโt had the opportunity yet due to a lack of volunteers.
๐ Blu was picked up by Animal Control with his step-sister, Chirca (a pit bull), while they were roaming the streets of Tampa. Sadly, their owner chose to leave them at the shelter.
A few things to know:
๐พ Around 4 years old
๐พ Recently neutered
๐พ Good with children
๐พ Understands Spanish commands
๐พ Very gentle on leash
๐พ Sweet and submissive
๐พ Not good with cats
๐พ Came in with his step-sister, Chirca
๐พ Previous owner reported that he can escape fences and was frequently crated
Blu had never been neutered before, which certainly may not have helped with his previous escape-artist tendencies. He deserves the chance to learn what life outside a shelter can really be like.
๐ Blu has been at the shelter since 8/26, and he needs someone to step up for him.
He doesnโt need to be perfect. He needs a foster, an adopter, or someone willing to give him a chance. โค๏ธ
