DESCRIPTION

Hi, I’m Ivy—a 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix weighing about 24 pounds, and underneath my shy exterior is one of the sweetest hearts you’ll ever meet. I was rescued from a high-kill shelter down south along with my puppies, and when I first arrived, I was pretty unsure and nervous around new people. I’d hang back and quietly watch from a distance… until someone discovered the secret to winning me over: belly scratches. Once those happened, everything changed.

I can be a little hesitant when meeting new people at first, but I warm up quickly once I know I’m safe and loved. After that, I’m all about affection and being close to my people. I do amazing with other dogs and have also been wonderful with kids. I’m gentle, sweet, and really just want a calm home where I can continue building confidence and enjoying all the love I’ve been missing out on.

I haven’t been cat tested yet, but that can be done if needed. I’m the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and truly blossoms with kindness and patience. I’ll come fully vetted, spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you’re looking for a soft-hearted companion who will love you completely once you earn her trust, I might be your girl.
