Hi there! My name is Rumi and I am a 1.5 year old Miniature Poodle weighing about 8 pounds. I am absolutely adorable, if I do say so myself, but I am also a bit of a princess. When I first arrived at rescue, I was overwhelmed by all the changes and preferred to keep to myself. New people and new places can be a lot for a little girl, so I took my time deciding who I could trust.

These days, my personality is starting to shine. Once I know you, I am affectionate, loving and happy to see my favorite people. I get excited when my friends come to visit and I am always ready for attention, cuddles and treats. I share my space with my best friend Diesel and we get along wonderfully. I enjoy being close to my people and I have all the makings of a true Velcro dog.

I am looking for a patient family that will give me the time and space to settle in and build trust. I can be a little reserved with strangers at first and would do best with people who understand that relationships take time. Once you win me over, you will have a loyal little shadow who wants to be part of everything you do. I will come fully vetted, spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you are willing to let me open my heart at my own pace, I think you will discover that I am a truly special little girl.
