Penny Lane - Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler and Corgi Dog for Adoption in Abbotsford, British Columbia

Meet Penny Lane!
6.5 years old 32 lbs Blue Heeler/Corgi Mix

Penny Lane may need a minute before deciding you're part of her inner circle, but once you're in, you're IN. This spunky little 32-pound girl is equal parts snuggle bug, fetch fanatic, and pint-sized entertainer.

At 6.5 years old, Penny has plenty of energy and personality. When she meets someone new, her first response is usually to bark or howl and let you know she's keeping an eye on things. With a little patience, treats, or an invitation to play fetch, she begins to relax and show you the sweet girl underneath all that initial commentary.

And once Penny likes you? Prepare yourself for cuddles.

She loves curling up in a lap, snuggling beside her people on the couch, and even gives "hugs" on command when you get down on her level. She also knows her basic commands and a few fun tricks, including "speak."

Fetch is Penny's love language. If you're willing to keep throwing the toy, she's willing to keep bringing it back. Again. And again. And again. Your throwing arm will likely surrender before Penny does.

About Penny Lane:
6.5-year-old Blue Heeler/Corgi mix
32 pounds
House trained AND crate trained
Knows basic commands and several tricks
Very playful and higher energy
Loves fetch
Affectionate little lap dog and couch cuddler
Plays well with dogs of all sizes
Likes cats and wants to be their friend, although her enthusiastic play style may be too much for some
Needs a little time to warm up to unfamiliar people
Best in a home without small children

Penny would love a home that appreciates a dog with a little personality and gives her the time she needs to feel comfortable. Because she's energetic and can be vocal and unsure when meeting new people, a home with older, considerate children or adults would be the best fit.

Penny Lane isn't looking to spend her retirement years quietly knitting in a rocking chair. She's got toys to chase, tricks to perform, dogs to play with, couches to conquer, and plenty of hugs still to give.

Give this girl a little time to trust you, and you'll discover one seriously fun, loyal, cuddly best friend.
