Meet Dusty!
Dusty is a handsome, fluffy puppy with a
thoughtful expression and a calm, observant nature. Born in mid-April 2026, he is already 24 pounds at almost 12 weeks old, and we expect him to grow into a large adult, likely in the 75-95 pound range.
Our best breed guess is a Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix, though as with many rescue pups, his exact breed mix is unknown. What we do know is that Dusty is a smart boy who is already off to an impressive start with his training.
Dusty is house trained, kennel trained, and has already learned several commands, including sit, touch, and focus. He is currently working on leave it and learning that puppy teeth belong on toys, not people. He is eager to learn and enjoys interacting with his people, making him a great candidate for continued training.
Like all puppies, Dusty is still growing and learning about the world around him. His future family should be prepared for puppy energy, ongoing training, and all the fun that comes with raising a large-breed dog. With consistency and guidance, Dusty has all the tools to become an amazing companion.

All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Adoption fee is $250.
