Meet Robin!

Robin is a special boy with a gentle heart and a quiet spirit. This 1-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix weighs about 85 pounds and came from a hoarding situation, so he's still learning what it means to be lovedand how to trust the people who love him in return.

Robin isn't the life of the party. Truthfully, he'd prefer not to attend the party at all. He's a thoughtful, sensitive dog who takes his time getting comfortable with new people, places, and experiences. He'll need an adopter with patience and understanding as he continues to build confidence and form lasting bonds.

When something startles him, Robin's instinct is to retreat to a place where he feels safeusually his crate or a quiet corner of the yard where he can blend in and pretend he's a hydrangea. But with consistency, kindness, and reassurance, we're watching him blossom more every day.

One of the best ways to see Robin's personality shine is around other dogs. While he's not overly rambunctious, he enjoys canine companionship and has started showing his playful side with his foster sibling. Whether he's sneaking off with a slipper, stealing a favorite blanket, or engaging in a little play, those moments are a joy to witness. Because of this, Robin would greatly benefit from a confident resident dog who can help show him the ropes and provide reassurance as he continues to navigate the world.

Robin is also a curious boy. He likes to explore, but always at his own pace. He's treat-motivated, responds well to gentle correction, and has naturally good manners. We're currently helping Robin put on some weight, as he's still a bit lean for a dog of his size. With good nutrition and continued care, he'll fill out into the big handsome boy he's meant to be.
