Button is quite possibly the sweetest little piglet disguised as a dog.

We don't know what kind of life she had before coming to us, but one thing is obvious: this girl is SO happy to be safe, comfortable and cared for.

Button walked into a house full of dogs and basically said, Cool, I live here now. She is wonderfully dog friendly, submissive and respectful, and mostly just enjoys peacefully coexisting with everyone. Even when another dog gets a little rude with her, Button simply turns away and moves on.

She wants absolutely no part of the drama.

She's pretty low energy and ridiculously easy to have around. Shes potty trained, quiet, does great in her kennel, sleeps through the night, rides well in the car and walks nicely on leash. We havent seen any destructive behavior or resource guarding.

Button is also surprisingly independent. She doesnt need to be attached to you every second of the day. Shes perfectly content exploring the yard, sunbathing, snoozing on a dog bed or finding a spot nearby while you work.

But then theres bedtime.
Bedtime is Buttons FAVORITE. The second she realizes everyone is heading to bed, she gets ridiculously excited. She snuggles in, gives approximately 100 kisses, corncobs your ears and neck and then grunts like a tiny pig directly into your ear.

Between the pig noises, her love of dressing up, and that little underbite, resistance is pretty much futile.

Button loves affection without demanding it constantly. Shell lean into you, climb into your lap and snuggle when the mood strikes, but she's also perfectly happy doing her own thing.
We think Button could fit beautifully into lots of different homes. She could be a wonderful second or third dog, but she doesn't necessarily need a canine sibling. Because she's quiet and doesn't require a ton of exercise, we could also see her doing well in an apartment.

What Button really wants is company. She doesnt need your undivided attention all day... she just seems happiest knowing her person is nearby.

She's an incredibly sweet, easygoing little girl who has discovered that life can include comfy beds, dog friends, treats, sunshine and someone to snuggle with every night. And she is very ready to make sure it stays that way.

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
