DESCRIPTION

**Currently fostered in Seattle, WA and ready for meet and greets!**

Some dogs are happy just hanging out... and then there's Maggie Flowers.

This girl lives life at full speed and somehow manages to make everything look like the greatest adventure ever. Going for a walk? Best day ever. Chasing a Nerf football? Even better. Rolling upside down in the grass for absolutely no reason? Apparently that's one of her favorite hobbies too. Her foster calls it her ""happy dance,"" and honestly, once you see it, you'll probably find yourself laughing right along with her. If you're looking for a dog that's going to make life more fun, Maggie is definitely applying for the position.

Watch her video and prepare to fall in love with this happy-go-lucky girl: https://youtu.be/imD3kR4tXwY?si=e37b1oq5rUolxnTe

Maggie Flowers is believed to be a pittie mix approximately 6 years old and weighs about 50lbs. As with any rescue dog, breed is always a bit of a mystery, but one thing we know for sure is that Maggie is 100% full of life.

One of our favorite things about Maggie is how much joy she finds in absolutely everything. She loves being outside and would happily spend hours exploring the backyard, running zoomies, playing fetch, patrolling the fence line for squirrels, or investigating every little rustle she hears in the bushes. In fact, one of her foster's favorite things to watch is when Maggie spots something moving and launches herself into detective mode with a flying leap straight into the bushes. She has completely convinced herself she's protecting the yard from every squirrel and rodent that dares to show its face, and it's honestly hilarious to watch.

As much as Maggie loves to play, she's just as happy to cuddle when the fun is over. After a good walk, a game of fetch, or an afternoon outside, she'd love nothing more than to hop up on the couch or curl up in bed with her people. Her foster says she wants to be a true member of the family and included in everything you do. She's affectionate, loves to snuggle, and would happily spend the rest of the evening soaking up all the attention you're willing to give.

When it comes to toys, Maggie definitely has favorites. Nerf footballs are at the top of the list, fetch is practically an Olympic sport in her mind, tug-of-war is always a good idea, and stuffed animals... well... they usually don't survive very long. She's also a fantastic swimmer and absolutely loves the water, making lake trips and outdoor adventures some of her favorite ways to spend the day.

Maggie has lived with children as young as two years old and has continued living with kids in her foster home. She genuinely enjoys being around people and absolutely loves saying hello. Sometimes she gets so excited that she forgets she's not a tiny little lap dog anymore and will jump up to greet new friends. It's all out of excitement, and with continued consistency and training, she'll continue improving. She's an incredibly smart girl who already knows commands like sit, down, wait, ""go to your bed,"" and ""in"" for her crate. She's potty trained, crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and has learned wonderful manners like waiting at open doors until she's told she's free to go.

Maggie would do best as the only dog in the home. Her foster has spent a lot of time working alongside trainers to help her feel successful, and they've found she's happiest when she doesn't have to interact closely with other dogs. On walks she's perfectly capable of ignoring them as long as they aren't too close, but when she's home, she'd much rather spend her time playing games with her people instead. Cats aren't a good fit either because they're simply a little too tempting to chase.

Maggie's dream home is one with a fenced yard, an active family, and people who truly want their dog to be part of everyday life. She wants to join you on walks, play fetch in the backyard, splash around in the water, patrol the yard for squirrels, and then come inside to curl up beside you after a day well spent. She still has that goofy, puppy-like enthusiasm despite being an adult, and we have a feeling she's going to keep making people laugh for years to come.

If you've been looking for a dog that's equal parts adventure buddy, fetch champion, cuddle bug, and backyard comedian, Maggie is ready to make every day a little more fun. Just don't be surprised when she suddenly flops onto her back in the middle of the grass for one of her signature happy dances... because apparently that's what pure happiness looks like.
