Bongo is a gentle, sweet puppy with a calm, easygoing personality and a heart full of love. She absolutely adores being held and will happily melt into your arms, soaking up all the cuddles and attention she can get.

This soft, affectionate girl is the kind of puppy who bonds deeply with her people. She loves being close, enjoys quiet companionship, and brings a peaceful, loving presence wherever she goes.

Bongo is also dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and kid-friendly, making her a wonderful addition to many types of homes. She enjoys the company of other dogs and is always up for a little playtime, but she's just as happy relaxing by your side or enjoying some fresh air outside.

Bongo is crate trained and settles nicely when left alone. She's currently working on potty training and is making great progress with consistency and routine. She responds to "come" and is eager to connect with her people--she may just need a moment to follow the sound of your voice.

Bongo is vision impaired and may have genetic nystagmus (sometimes called "wobbly eyes"). It does not cause her pain and isn't expected to impact her overall health, but she will benefit from a home that keeps her environment consistent.

She does best when her bed, food, and water stay in the same place so she can confidently navigate her surroundings.
Despite her limited vision, Bongo is a happy, adaptable puppy who doesn't let it slow her down. She simply relies on her other senses--and her people--to help guide her.

With a moderate activity level, Bongo would thrive in a home that will:

Before adoption, all Boxers and Buddies dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped. All dogs are fostered in a foster home where they are treated like family - practicing socialization skills.

Our adoption process:

Once an application is submitted, our adoption team will contact you within 24 hours. After an interview and home check, a meet and greet will be scheduled. If you currently have a dog or dogs, they must attend the meet and greet.

If you rent your home, you will be expected to provide a copy of your rental agreement showing that dogs are allowed.

As part of our contract, all dogs are required to attend a training course or puppy socialization class conducted by a certified positive reinforcement trainer.We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions.
