Waldo is a 17-pound terrier mix with a perfectly scruffy coat and an even sweeter personality. While we can't say for certain what his exact breed mix is, we suspect a blend of Cairn, Yorkshire, and Norfolk Terrier--possibly with a little Chihuahua sprinkled in for good measure. What we do know? He's a really great dog.

Waldo is settling nicely into his foster home and showing us more of his personality each day. Like many dogs who come from uncertain backgrounds, he may have been a stray or surrendered at a shelter in California, so he's still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. Because of that, he would do best in a calm, stable home where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace.

Happy to relax near his people once he feels comfortable

He's the kind of dog who will truly bond with his person--one of those quiet little shadows who just wants to be near you without making a big fuss about it.

Waldo may need a bit of patience in the beginning, but with consistency and kindness, he's going to blossom into an incredibly loyal companion.

Before adoption, all Boxers and Buddies dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped. All dogs are fostered in a foster home where they are treated like family - practicing socialization skills.

After submitting an application, our team will contact you within 24 hours. The process includes an interview, home check, and a meet-and-greet (all household dogs must attend). Renters must provide proof that dogs are allowed per their lease, and adopters are required to complete a training course with a certified positive reinforcement trainer.We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions.
