Halo is deaf, but please don't let that discourage you from considering this incredible girl. She may not be able to hear you tell her she's beautiful or how much you love her, but we promise you, she can FEEL every ounce of affection you give her.
And if there's one thing Halo absolutely adores, it's being loved!
Halo is the definition of a gentle, affectionate companion. She's not asking for extravagant adventures, a hectic household, or a life filled with constant excitement. At this stage in her life, our sweet girl would much rather enjoy the simple pleasures: a comfortable couch, a peaceful home, a cozy place to sleep, and someone who considers spending time with her the highlight of their day.
Halo isn't looking for the whole world. She's just looking to be someone's whole world.
Unfortunately, Halo hasn't always been given the love, loyalty, and commitment she so freely offers others. At approximately 6 years old, she's already experienced more disappointment than any dog should ever have to endure.
She's been failed miserably by people who were supposed to love her furever, but we're choosing not to let those chapters define her story.
Because Halo's past is NOT her future.
We're not interested in dwelling on the people who gave up on her. We're interested in finding the extraordinary person who never will.
We envision Halo thriving in a calm, loving household where she can settle into a predictable routine, feel secure, and simply enjoy being a cherished member of the family. Because she's deaf, a patient and understanding family willing to communicate through visual cues, gentle guidance, and consistency would be especially wonderful for her!
And while some people may overlook Halo because of her age or deafness, we hope someone out there sees exactly what we see.

At 6 years young, Halo still has so much life left to live, so many memories to make, so many naps to take, and so much love left to give!
