Patches is a beautiful, people-loving kitten with a wonderful blend of independence and affection. While shes confident enough to entertain herself and explore on her own, she genuinely enjoys being around her humans and likes to keep an eye on everything happening in the household. One of her favorite spots is up high, where she can perch like a tiny queen and watch the world go by from her own special vantage point.
Though she started out as more of an independent observer, Patches has become increasingly interested in spending time with her foster siblings, Jack and Jill. Shes been joining in their games more often and showing her playful side, proving that she enjoys both companionship and adventure. When the mood strikes, she gets the cutest bursts of zoomies, racing around the house with energy and enthusiasm before settling back into one of her favorite lookout spots.
Patches also has a healthy appetite, which only adds to her charm. She approaches life with curiosity, confidence, and a quiet determination that makes her a joy to watch. Whether shes exploring a new corner of the house, playing with her foster siblings, or supervising household activities from above, she always seems to know exactly whats going on.
While Patches hasnt been particularly impressed with the dogs in her foster home so far, she is still young and may be able to adapt to a calm, respectful canine companion with proper introductions and time. Her ideal home would appreciate her independent streak while also giving her plenty of love, attention, and opportunities to play and explore.
With her sweet nature, playful energy, and watchful little personality, Patches is a truly special kitten who will bring warmth, entertainment, and companionship to her forever family.

We want adopters to thoughtfully consider the lifelong commitment of a pet. As a volunteer-run rescue, we cannot always process paperwork immediately after meet-and-greets. Most adoptions are finalized within 24-hours.
To help speed up the process, please email a walkthrough video of your home and a list of indoor plants/flowers to adoptioncoordinator@mariospaw.org after scheduling your meet-and-greet.
Our adoption process consists of:
- a submitted application and list of indoor plants/flowers
- in person meet-and-greet
- video walk through of the main areas of your home
- adoption link sent to your phone with our contract where you will pay the adoption fee and receive the medical records sent via email
Whats Included in the Adoption Fee:
Spayed/Neutered (Pets are not adopted without surgery)
Microchipped
FIV/FeLV tested (Felines)
Up to date on FVRCP (Feline) or DHPP (Canine) vaccines
Dewormed and flea-treated
Your adoption fee also helps cover supplies, administrative costs, and vet care for our many medical cases allowing us to rescue more animals in need of extra surgeries, specialist care, and rehabilitation.
