King Louie may have a royal name, but this little guy's preferred throne might just be your arms—preferably while he's being held like the baby he clearly believes he is. Playful, curious, affectionate, and wonderfully sweet, Louie is 6 months old and still waiting for someone to make him king of his very own home.
Born March 26, 2026, King Louie is an altered male grey-and-white tabby mix who has been with the same foster since the day he was born. He has the most beautiful big, expressive eyes that somehow make an already adorable little face even harder to resist.
Louie was originally one of the Royal 4, a litter of four kittens who have grown up together in foster care. Two of his siblings have already been adopted, leaving Louie and his brother Alfred as the two remaining little royals waiting for their forever families to find them.

At home, Louie is usually the kitten who wants to know what's going on. He's typically one of the first to say hello, explore, and get involved in the fun. He's playful, curious, and loves having the freedom to investigate his surroundings. Growing up in his foster home since birth has also given him plenty of opportunities for socialization with the other animals in the home.
During his recent content session, though, we got to see a more thoughtful and cautious side of Louie.
In a brand-new environment, he was perfectly content letting his brother Alfred take the lead when it came to exploring and playing while Louie took a little extra time to observe everything happening around him. This was a different side than his foster typically sees at home, where he's usually one of the first kittens ready to investigate.
Sometimes even a king lets his brother test the waters first.
As Louie had more time to take everything in and realize he was okay, he gradually became more comfortable. Eventually, he even let me pick him up and hold him—which felt like such a little win. Rather than rushing him, giving him time to observe and come around at his own pace allowed that affectionate side to start peeking through.
And once Louie is comfortable, being held is actually one of his favorite things.
This boy loves to be cradled like a baby. Scoop him into your arms, let those enormous eyes look back at you, and good luck not falling completely in love. For a kitten who enjoys exploring and playing, there's also a wonderfully tender side to him that makes him such a lovable little companion.
Louie has been socialized with both cats and dogs in his foster home and has grown up surrounded by other animals. He loves to play at home and has had feline companionship his entire life, giving him a great foundation for a home with other pets with appropriate introductions.
He's also great with his litter box, checking another important box as he gets ready to make the transition from foster kitten to forever family member.
One of the nicest things about Louie is that he showed us there's more than one side to his personality. At home, he's the playful little guy who's often first in line to say hello and see what's happening. Put him somewhere completely unfamiliar, and he may choose to hang back, observe, and let someone else lead the way before deciding he's ready to join in.
He doesn't need to be rushed.
Give him a little time to look around, let him figure things out, and he'll show you when he's ready.
At 6 months old, King Louie has spent his entire life with the same foster. They've watched him grow from a newborn kitten into the handsome, playful, affectionate little boy he is today. What he hasn't gotten to experience yet is having a home and family that are permanently his.
Two members of the Royal 4 have already found their castles.
Now King Louie and Alfred are waiting for theirs.
Louie's future kingdom doesn't need to be particularly fancy. Give him places to explore, plenty of opportunities to play, other furry friends with thoughtful introductions, patience when he's taking in something new, and—perhaps most importantly—someone willing to hold His Majesty like the baby he is.
King Louie is playful, curious, affectionate, beautifully socialized, litter box trained, and ridiculously lovable. This gorgeous grey-and-white boy with the enormous eyes is ready to stop being someone's foster kitten and finally become someone's forever baby!

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?
The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!
Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.
We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 16,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
