Gerald is a 10-year-old gentleman with a heart as soft as his fur. After being left behind in an established colony in South Central, he’s shown nothing but resilience—and an incredible capacity for love. This sweet boy isn’t interested in the hustle of outdoor life; he’s ready to trade it all for a warm lap and a cozy place to call home.

Gerald is the definition of a lap cat. The moment you sit down, he’s right there, happily settling in and turning on his signature purr—loud, constant, and completely soothing. He’s gentle, affectionate, and just wants to be close to his person. Whether you’re reading, watching TV, or working from home, Gerald will be your loyal companion.

Now entering his golden years, Gerald deserves a peaceful retirement filled with comfort, kindness, and love. If you’re looking for a calm, devoted cat who will fill your home with warmth (and plenty of purring), Gerald is your guy.

We want adopters to thoughtfully consider the lifelong commitment of a cat. As a volunteer-run rescue, we cannot always process paperwork immediately after meet-and-greets. Most adoptions are finalized within 24-hours.

To help speed up the process, please email a walkthrough video of your home and a list of indoor plants/flowers to adoptions@mariospaw.org after scheduling your meet-and-greet. Thank you for your understanding!

What’s Included in the Adoption Fee:
Spayed/Neutered (no cat is adopted without surgery, no exceptions)
Microchipped
FIV/FeLV tested
Up to date on FVRCP vaccines
Dewormed and flea-treated

Your adoption fee also helps cover supplies, administrative costs, and vet care for our many medical cases allowing us to rescue more cats in need of extra surgeries, specialist care, and rehabilitation.

- a submitted application
- in person meet-and-greet
- video walk through of the main areas of your home
- adoption link sent to your phone with our contract where you will pay the adoption fee and receive the medical records sent via email
