I want to tell you about the door.

When Chutney first arrived, an opening door meant hesitation. A little orange kitten hanging back, watching, deciding. It took time. 🧡

Now that same door opens and he comes running, straight to the people he's come to love, tail up, already chirping, already halfway into a lap. He doesn't hang back with his people anymore. He simply assumes he's wanted, which he is, and that assumption is the sweetest thing about him.

He'll still want a little time to warm up to someone brand new, and honestly that's what makes his affection mean so much. Chutney doesn't hand it out to strangers. He gives it to the people who've earned it, and then he gives it completely. 🥰

He's the smaller of the two brothers with a delicate little face and a wide white muzzle that runs up in a blaze between his eyes, so he's easy to pick out next to broad-faced Curry. He's a talker with a full range: meows, chirps, coos, and a purr that has exactly one setting, which is loud. Run your hand down his back and up comes the elevator butt, every time. He leans into pets, asks for belly and neck rubs, and once he's yours he'll settle into your lap and then keep climbing until he's on your chest.

There's a reason orange cats have the reputation they do. They're known for being outgoing, affectionate, a little silly, and thoroughly attached to their people, and Chutney is a textbook case. He'd pick his person's company over almost anything.

He plays like a young cat should, wrestling his brother and chasing whatever moves, but he's calmer than most males his age and he tires of it before he tires of you. Churus are a serious motivator. He's remarkably gentle, and he's been wonderful with every child, cat, and adult he's encountered. 😽

His manners are lovely, his litter box record is spotless, and he's fully up to date on all his vaccines and routine care. ✅

Chutney and Curry are devoted to each other, and I'd love to see them go together, though it's not a requirement. Their sister Cactus Rose will be available soon too.
