Alphabet Soup (or Alphie) is one of a trio of siblings who came in as older kittens from a home situation with too many cats to care for. Because he hadn't been able to spend a lot of one-on-one time with humans growing up, Alphie can be reserved with strangers and lacking confidence but is loving and fun once he knows he's safe. His foster described him as a "purring machine" who loves to snuggle, flop over for belly rubs, and give and receive kisses from his human. Wand toys and lasers help bring him out of his shell, but he wants to do everything with his sister Chicken, so he is looking to stay with his favorite cuddle buddy in his forever home. While Chicken often loves quietly, Alphie will dole out extra doses of smooches and snuggles for the both of them. Alphie also likes to be held like a baby, will nudge you for kisses, and play with your hair! Alphie is often hesitant with new pets and people and may take longer to open up to other pets in the home, though he did come around to the resident cats. Alphie was not around dogs or children in her foster home, so we are unsure how he'd feel about living with them at this time, but we encourage anyone considering him to meet and give it a chance if they think they're a fit! Though he may take time to warm up to new people and pets, Alphie has proven that good things come to those who are willing to wait.
