Zeus earned his name because he's a fighter! A cat who survived something no animal should ever have to endure. When a landlord checked an apartment long after the tenants had moved out, Zeus was found curled in a corner, hungry, frightened, and trying to make himself invisible. Despite everything, he held on.

Now he's safe at WARL, and we're giving him the time and space he needs to remember that people can be kind.

Zeus has been through a lot and needs patience. He's a cat who wants to trust again but will do it slowly a little rough around the edges - with a crinkled ear that tells part of his story. Zeus will pick his person, rather than someone picking him.

He would do well with a quiet companion who will thrive in a calm, predictable home with adults only and no other pets to the best of our knowledge.

A peaceful environment where he can decompress and build confidence at his own pace

He's not a "ready-made" cat, he's a cat who will bond deeply with the person who shows him he's finally safe. If you're someone who believes in second chances and finds beauty in resilience, Zeus may be the companion you've been waiting for.
