Audrey is just over 2 years old, and her story is one of quiet resilience.
She was found in a trailer after her owner had passed, surrounded by loss and left to survive in heartbreaking conditions alongside other cats who didn’t make it. Covered in fleas and battling parasites, Audrey’s early days were anything but kind—but somehow, she held on.
Because of that, people are still a little confusing to her. She doesn’t easily trust, and being touched isn’t something she seeks out right away. But Audrey isn’t closed off—she’s just careful. She watches, she learns, and she takes her time.
What does make her feel safe is other cats. Audrey absolutely loves them. She finds comfort in their presence, learns from their confidence, and truly starts to blossom when she has a feline friend nearby. She must go to a home with another friendly, confident cat who can show her the ropes and help her feel secure.
And here’s the part that feels a little like magic—if you’re patient, if you move slowly, if you earn her trust…Audrey has a soft spot. A really good butt scratch is her weakness, and in those quiet moments, you can see the loving cat she’s becoming.
Audrey is looking for a quiet, adult-only home with someone who understands that trust takes time and that the smallest breakthroughs can mean everything. She’s not an instant cuddle bug—but for the right person, she’ll be something far more special: a shy, gentle soul who chose to trust you.
Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! We do our best to keep bios updated as we learn more about each cat or as circumstances change. The bio is the best place to find the most current and important information about their needs, personality, and ideal home.
