Amber is a beautiful, gentle soul learning how to be a house cat after life outside. Shes slowly discovering that indoor life can be safe, warm, and full of good things.

Amber is still shy and unsure around people, but she allows pats in her enclosed beds and hiding places, and will close her lovely eyes when you talk to her. She doesnt bite or scratch when you come close, but may give a quiet little hiss if you are getting too close.

Amber absolutely loves the company of other cats. Shes affectionate with her feline friends and happiest when shes curled up sleeping beside them. If she wants the best spot, shes not afraid to be a little bossy to claim it!

Amber has been watching Nellie interact with people and enjoying playtime, but is still working on the courage to join in. When humans are not around we noticed that Nellie will visit Amber in her hiding place and bring her out for play. Ambers playful side then blossoms! She enjoys exploring, playing with toys, and showing glimpses of the confident cat shes becoming. She also loves sitting at a window watching birds and squirrels with Nellie.

Amber will require a calm, patient home — ideally with other friendly cats — where she can continue building trust at her own pace. For the right adopter, watching her blossom will be a deeply rewarding experience.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $250 for each adult cat 1 year or older. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
