Emily came into her foster home as something of an unknown — a beautiful blue-gray cat with a handful of unruly kittens and a story no one quite knew. What unfolded was nothing short of heartwarming. She turned out to be an extraordinary mother, patient and devoted through every chaotic moment of raising her litter in foster care. And watching her slowly come out of her shell has been one of those quiet, wonderful things that reminds you exactly why rescue work matters.

Emily — affectionately known as "Ma Bear" — is a stunning cat. Her blue-gray coat is beautiful on its own, but catch her in the right light and you'll see brindle shoulders and gorgeous stripe markings that blend subtly into her fur. Her tail has a tiny kink at the tip, and she loves nothing more than a long brushing session or a patient hand willing to pet her for as long as she'll allow. She is still finding her confidence, and can be skittish — but don't mistake that for timidity. Emily is genuinely brave, willing to give new things a second chance even when they spook her at first. She craves affection and will seek it out once she feels safe, communicating with sweet little chirps when you're in the room with her. She is good with dogs and stands her ground with quiet dignity. She just needs someone willing to meet her where she is — and the reward for that patience is a truly special cat.

Fozzie is, by his own cheerful admission, a lover not a thinker. This handsome, happy boy is content to let his siblings puzzle out life's great mysteries while he focuses on the truly important things: warm laps, soft spots to curl up on, and the general availability of treats. He is affectionate, easy-going, and delightfully uncomplicated in the best possible way. His favorite game is hiding under things and reaching out to bop a passing sibling — a move he executes with great satisfaction and zero remorse. And when something truly exciting happens (usually treat-related), his Z-shaped tail wags like a dog's, which is every bit as endearing as it sounds. Fozzie is the brownest of his siblings, with prominent stripes hidden in his fur that emerge beautifully in the light.

Emily and Fozzie share a close bond, and we think these two would thrive together in the right home — a mother and her biggest fan, ready to start their next chapter as a pair. They would do well with children who know how to be gentle with animals and when to give them space, and they have been fostered with dogs and would be fine with a cat-friendly pup.

A brave, beautiful mother and her devoted, happy-go-lucky son — two cats who have already been through a lot, and deserve every good thing that comes next.

The adoption fee is $250.

Emily is around 1-2 years old and Fozzie was born around 5/8/26. They have been spayed and neutered. They are litter box trained.

We recommend adopting two kittens if you have no other pets (or even if you do), because you will get twice the love with less work and they will develop fewer behavioral issues, while costs remain relatively similar.

We are located in the Columbia Gorge area in OR/WA (this is where the kittens are fostered), but we are able to transport to those locations where we advertise (i.e. Seattle and Portland area). There isn't an additional fee for transport, but any additional donation to help support what our little group does is appreciated.

When responding to this ad, please provide a phone number where you can be reached. Having an alternate means to contact people is helpful, since our email can end up in SPAM. Please also provide some information on your home. For example: Do you have small children? How many? Is your home life quiet or busy? Do you live in a rural or urban area? Do you have any other pets? What else should we know?

All of the kittens at Pawsitivity are fostered in homes where they are cared for and socialized. We don't keep kittens in cages (except maybe at bedtime). Our foster parents are able to learn each of their personalities this way and determine the best home for them. We also make sure all kittens are healthy before placing them in their forever home.
