Meet Spencer

Spencer's story began outside a small lake-area bar in a neighboring community, where he spent his kittenhood watching people come and go. Like so many kittens born outdoors, he was a little spicy and unsure of the world around him.

Thankfully, the local Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) volunteer was contacted to help manage the stray cat population in the area. While trapping and altering the adult cats, she discovered one feisty little orange kitten who deserved the chance at a different life. That kitten was Spencer.

With time, patience, and lots of love, Spencer discovered that indoor life wasn't so bad after all. Today, he enjoys exploring every corner of his foster home, playing with his feline friends, and chasing just about any cat toy he can find. One of his favorite pastimes is curling up beside a window to watch birds and the world outside.

Spencer is also a creature of habit. Every evening, he eagerly waits for his bedtime soft food treat and comes running the moment he hears the tap of the can. Its one of his favorite parts of the day!

While Spencer enjoys the company of his humans, he prefers affection on his own terms and doesn't like being picked up. He'll thrive with a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let him settle into his new home at his own pace.
