Meet Melanie (Mel)

Mel's story began thanks to a dedicated Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) volunteer who was helping reduce the stray cat population in a neighboring community. While trapping community cats for spay and neuter, one tiny kitten stood out—Mel. Instead of returning to life outdoors, she was given the opportunity to learn what it means to be a beloved indoor cat.

Now, Mel is ready for the next chapter of her journey: finding a forever home of her own.

Mel is a sweet, gentle girl who thrives with patience and understanding. New places and sudden noises can make her a little nervous at first, so she'll need a family willing to give her the time she needs to settle in and build confidence. Once she learns her surroundings, her curious personality begins to shine.

She loves exploring her home and going on little indoor adventures. Whether shes investigating a new corner, batting around her favorite toys, or turning her water dish into a toy now and then, Mel always finds ways to entertain herself. She especially enjoys the company of other cats and loves snuggling up with her feline friends for a cozy nap.

Mel enjoys watching her humans and being part of the family, but she prefers affection on her own terms and isn't a fan of being picked up. She's looking for a calm, quiet home where she can continue to grow into the wonderful companion shes meant to be.
