Chatterbox - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Royal Oak, Michigan

CHATTERBOX

Domestic Short Hair
🇺🇸
Royal Oak, Michigan
June 8th
male, medium, young

DESCRIPTION

Meet Chatterbox. He earned that name screaming at the vet and has since decided volume is a tool best used strategically.

Found during a TNR operation and immediately, thoroughly charming, this roughly one-year-old orange tabby came in off the streets and has had absolutely zero interest in going back. White paws, white chest and belly, and a tail so thick and gloriously ringed it has its own gravitational pull. He is, objectively, a lot. And he would like you to know hes completely fine with that.

Most of that a lot is affection and energy. Chatterbox is a confident, high-energy guy who loves to play, seeks out laps, requests uppies until someone complies, gives kisses freely, and purrs with great enthusiasm. He is one of the most affectionate cats around and an excellent cuddle buddy, when hes not ricocheting off the furniture or making very serious decisions about your feet.

Chatterbox needs a home that can keep up with him. Someone who will provide plenty of play, enrichment, and engagement. He thrives with activity and will reward an active household with more affection than they probably bargained for.

Hes shown friendly interest in other cats and could do well with a feline companion, with one caveat: his future roommate needs to be able to hold their own. Chatterbox gets excited, and when he gets excited he is, well, himself. A laid back, tolerant, playful cat who isnt easily overwhelmed would be the ideal match. A shrinking violet would not.

History with dogs and kids is unknown. He is sweet, he is silly, he is a menace of the absolute best kind, and he is ready to find his people.

Chatterbox is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
