Castor has come a long way since he was found as a young kitten last October. Now he's looking for a patient family who will give him the time and understanding he needs to settle into a new home and let his personality shine.
Like his brother Pollux, Castor enjoys attention and affection, but he's taking a little longer to adjust to shelter life. New environments can be overwhelming for him at first, and he may need some time to feel comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings. Once he begins to relax, though, he enjoys being pet and spending time with the people he trusts.
Castor has a playful side and enjoys many of the same things his brother does, including toys, exploring, and finding ways to entertain himself. He may be a little quirky, but that's part of his charm. The right home will allow him to build confidence at his own pace and show off the wonderful companion he's capable of becoming.
Castor also has a littermate, Pollux, who he enjoys spending time with. The two can be adopted separately, but they would also love to go home together if you're interested in adopting a pair.
You'll notice that Castor has a congenital birth defect that caused one of his eyes to develop abnormally. The eye is smaller than normal and structurally different, but it does not require any treatment and doesn't affect his quality of life. Pollux has the same condition, making them an especially unique sibling pair.
If you're looking for a sweet cat who may need a little time to settle in but has plenty of potential to become a devoted companion, Castor would love the chance to meet you.
