Calling All Cat Lovers -- Help Find Damien His Forever Home ❤️

Hello everyone,
I'm hoping to find a loving and compassionate home for my cat, Damien. He is estimated to be around 15 years old, and unfortunately, due to my current health struggles, I've reached a point where I'm no longer able to provide the level of care he needs.
Damien is a very sweet, loving, and affectionate senior cat who would make a wonderful companion for the right person. He is generally healthy for his age, but he does have a few special needs that I want to be completely transparent about.
His biggest challenge is that he occasionally goes outside of the litter box. He will use a wee-wee pad, and he does best when he has access to a smaller, comfortable space, particularly at night, with his food, water, litter box, and pads nearby. Because of this, someone who is comfortable managing occasional accidents would be the best fit for him.
Damien also needs regular grooming because he is prone to getting mats in his fur. He doesn't particularly enjoy grooming, but with consistency and patience he does okay. Keeping his fur trimmed or shaved is another option if that makes grooming easier.
A few important things to know:
* * Damien has been an indoor cat his entire life.
* * Because of his age and history, he is not suited to being a barn/outdoor cat.
* * He needs someone who can be patient and understanding with his senior-cat needs.
* * Most importantly, he needs a safe, loving environment where he can spend his remaining years comfortably.
This is an incredibly difficult decision for me.
I wish I could keep him, but my health has worsened, and keeping up with the cleaning and care associated with his accidents has become more than I can manage. I truly believe that with a healthy individual who has the time and ability to accommodate his needs, these challenges could be much more manageable.
I do not want to surrender him to a shelter or consider euthanasia simply because of these behavioral/litter-box issues. I'm hoping there is someone out there who can see the loving senior cat underneath these challenges and give him the home and care he deserves.
If you are able to foster Damien, adopt him, or know of a senior-cat rescue, foster network, or other resource that might be able to help, please reach out to me. Even sharing this post could make a huge difference.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about Damien and for any help, resources, or leads you can provide. ❤️🐾
