DESCRIPTION
Leonard showed up in a managed cat colony about a year ago. He was so handsome his rescuer figured he would be dominant and bossy but he wasn't that way at all - in fact he was rather friendly. However after 2 botched attempts to trap him he was very wary and wouldn't come near a trap for months.
He decided to allow himself to be rescued this summer. He is a big mush! Leonard just loves being loved on and petted.
He's gotten bolder about coming into the kitchen at feeding time (vs waiting outside the kitchen) but never tries to dominate the other cats or butt in, and does not pick fights. He just wants to have fun and be loved.
Leonard is FIV positive and FeLV negative. FIV is a condition a cat can live with, especially if he's an indoor cat. Yearly vet visits are important, and vets may opt to perform teeth cleaning on a regular basis to keep the FIV-positive cat's mouth low on bacteria. FIV is rarely transmitted between indoor cats, as it's transmitted via deep bite wounds.
Leonard is neutered and up to date on shots. Email adopt@kittykind.org to apply!
