Champ & Bambi: Courtesy Post - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in New York, New York

Bambi (male, orange, 11 yrs old) and Champ (male, b/w, 9 yrs old) are a pair of bonded seniors who need a new home due to a death in the family.

Bambi, the orange guy, is known as the Nurse and protector of both humans and kitties. When there is a lound sound, a cry, or skirmish, Bambi runs to see whats happening and smell anyone to see if they are ok. He loves to cuddle and is content sleeping on his human's chest, cheek to cheek the entire night. He will wait and wait for a chance to jump on a lap.

Bambi loves string above all other toys. Laces, ribbons, twine etc. if it is just laying there he will peep at it for a few minutes and jump on it.

Because he had earmites as a kitten, his ears are sensitive and he will shy away if you play with his ears. I think it tickles him.

Bambi is very vocal and will ofter call for his humans or kitties if he cannot see them.

Bambi is special because his nature is to love everyone and everything. You can see compassion in his eyes.

Champion is the "Cuddle Monster". He will pat you on the leg to pick him up...Ofter standing on his hind legs with front legs outstretched like a human child to be picked up. He craves pets and sometimes will get over stimulated and give little nips on our hands.

He seems to sneeze more than the other cats. He was checked, but nothing wrong could be found.

Champ loves playtime and his favorites are catnip and string toys with wands/sticks attached. He will play fetch, however you have to say the correct words. You take a wand with a string on it and wind the string around the handle (you do it in front of him so he can see). You then have to say, "Ready, Steady, ....HARPOON". Then throw it as far as you can. He will get so excited and run after it and bring it back for you to do it again and again.

Champ is special because no matter what he will wait and wait and wait and wait for you to get comfortable to cuddle. He always knew before any cat that cuddles were need. He seemed to sense grief and sorrow.
